Hysterosalpingography (HSG) is a time-honored and accepted technique for examining tubal patency. In order to see the form of the uterus, the tubes, and the patency of the tubes, dye is introduced via the cervix in this procedure. X-ray photographs are then taken.
Sonosalpingography (SSG) is a specialised form of ultrasound in which a tiny plastic tube is used to inject fluid into the uterus through the cervix, and ultrasound is used to determine the fluid's route and whether it is present in the pelvis.
Chromopertubation is a technique used during laparoscopy to view the fallopian tubes. Identifying whether the fallopian tubes are patent or open is helpful. A coloured dye is put through the fallopian tubes during this treatment to see if they are patent. Through the cervical canal, the dye is injected into the uterine cavity. It is then watched closely when it exits the tubes and enters the peritoneal cavity
